Chinese fishing nets line the entrance to the harbour





These fixed, cantilevered structures suspended over the sea and operated from the shore by teams of up to six men. They are fascinating to watch; counterbalanced by stones attached with ropes, the fisherman walk along the beam causing the net to dip into the sea, and after a few minutes it is hauled up. You can buy fish from the catch and have them cook it nearby in street stalls
